Acts 21:27-36

Paul returns to Jerusalem although the fate of his future is clear. Paul will face trials, jail, plots to kill him, and untrue accusations, but his faith, testimony, and character of Paul is unwavering. Upon the return to Jerusalem Paul is accused of defiling the Temple by bringing a Gentile into the Temple. This did not happen, but a riot broke out and it nearly cost Paul his life. Captured by the Roman guards, taken into custody, and prepared to be flogged, Paul reviewed his Roman citizenship thus sparing the punishment. If Paul had not appealed to Caeser, he would have been set free, but one catch, those outside the prison wanted Paul dead. How convicted of our testimony are we? Would we be willing to die for our testimony? The actions of Paul, his patience in jail, and his relationship with God are all on display and trial. Before Felix and Festus, Paul recounts his testimony and his innocence. More importantly, Paul values his opportunity to share the Gospel more than his own life.
