Acts 27-28
Committed to the mission and to the fulfillment of God's calling is not always easy, glamorous, or pleasant. As we look at Paul's final missionary journey across the Mediterranian Sea to arrive in Rome eventually, Paul encountered, storms, shipwrecks, poisonous snake bites, hunger, blessings, and house arrest. It may have been easier to simply seek to stay on the Island of Malta, heal the sick, and be treated as a God, but he continued to Rome to finish the mission. But what is that mission? Acts Chapter 1 verse 8 reveals it for Saul to become Paul and for all of us. We are to become the witnesses of God in this land and where our journeys take us. Ironically, the believers in Christ are called to go into the world and become witnesses not come to a Church and become god's. Consider once again the commitment level and integrity of Paul in being a true servant of Christ. I would encourage you to dive deeper into his view of being a servant of Christ.
