Acts Chapter 15
Sep 22, 2024 • Pastor Ed Rinehart
Pastor Ed looks at the Jerusalem Council meeting and the verdict of the meeting. The question at hand and the point of conflict in the early church is, "What Gentiles must do to be saved." The conflict is over whether they should be circumcised or not. In the Jewish culture, at eight days a male child would be presented to the priest to be named and circumcised. The Jews are requesting males of any age be circumcised to be believers. The Council delivers the verdict in our passage. Pastor Ed ties in how modern-day baptisms are used in similar ways to those of circumcision.
