Acts 8:5-40

Aug 18, 2024    Pastor Ed Rinehart

Pastor Ed unpacks the passage of Acts Chapter 8 as we are introduced to Philip, one of the seven chosen earlier in the book of Acts, and now after the persecution after the stoning and death of Stephen. We are challenged by the reaction of Stephen, who could have left Jerusalem and gone silent about the Gospel. However, we find that Philip did the opposite. Are we willing to continue the proclamation of the Gospel in light of persecution? Will we be silenced or become vocal? Will we compromise or become emboldened in our life of proclaiming the message of hope, truth, and love through Christ? Will we respond to those around us as we journey through this life as God directs, so that we may be His witnesses?
