The Wisdom of Dad!

On three different occasions, we find in scripture where God is referred to as Abba, Father. Jesus said it in the Garden of Gethsemane, Paul writes it in Romans, and we find it in Galatians. As adopted children of God, we gain wisdom as we spend time with Dad. Gaining wisdom from God is passed on to us as we spend time with Him. The key is spending time with Him.

We need to put in the necessary effort, persistently, making the commitment and concentrating our efforts on applying our heart to instruction. As we gain knowledge, we then gain wisdom. It is knowing when to apply the knowledge and wisdom we have gained, which leads to understanding.

Where have you set your mind? Is it on a path focused on God, or is it a path that is dotted with distractions? Are you listening to Dad?

Today, may we bring joy to our heavenly Father and, in the process, bring joy to our earthly father as well.
