The Need for the Body of Christ to Work Fully Together
The concept of being the body of Christ is difficult in our society today because we have become individualistic and independent. As we live according to our understandings, our desires, our beliefs, and our values, we create our islands of faith. But we don't live on an island, and yet we isolate ourselves from others, and we want it our way, and we want the structure to dictate the details.
Every person, every believer, is key to the strength, the health, the potential, and the possibilities of the Church. You may be an earthly, only child, but that ended the day you accepted Jesus Christ as Lord, and now you are blessed with a multitude of brothers and sisters in Christ.
The body of Christ is only as strong as the connection between brothers and sisters in Christ. The body of Christ is only as strong as the commitment to the body of Christ. The body works together not only here for this time of worship, but to carry out the mission of God. The goal after worship is for the body to work together and spread the Gospel of Christ. To care for the other parts of our body. God needs you to be here and do the function you are called to do. Because of you, we are stronger. Without you, we are weak and sick and not functioning as we should.
