Lot's Wife - Not Looking Back

People love the benefits of Jesus. The gifts, the blessings, the security, the comfort, the compassion, but they often can't bring themselves to commit to Christ and be married to Him.

In our scripture we look at Lot's family, we see that the angels lead Lot and his family out of the city. Lot's wife looks back after they had been told not to look back or they would die. The allure of the city, the home they had lived in, she needed one more look back. But that is the problem, we keep looking back. We are tempted by sin and give in to the temptations. But, we are called to live differently because we decided to say yes to Christ.

Are we looking back? Or are we running with perseverance? Are we fixing our eyes on the eternal or on the things of this world? Are you falling short of where you are supposed to be? How are you helping people not look back?
