The need for a refilling

A sabbatical is a time for refreshing, contemplation, and ministry planning. It is not entirely a vacation. The focus is on listening to God in a manner of solitude and equipping as a spiritual discipline.

Through scripture we can see times that Jesus left to find solitude. He wasn't always given the opportunity to fulfill what He was seeking, but He also met those changes with grace and mercy for the people that needed Him. Even Jesus needed time to refill, to be renewed, to be ready for the next need that occurred.
