The Committment and Cost of Being a True Follower of Christ

You and I are called to be the disciples of Christ in this world today. Just like the people we are inspired by from the Bible, we are called to walk lives filled with faith.

As in Matthew chapter 10, God is sending us out into the world like sheep among wolves. We have to go out into the world because that is where the truly sick, lost, and helpless people are found. Jesus sent the disciples into the world knowing the fact that they were being sent like sheep among wolves.

Whose responsibility is it to go to the lost sheep? It is the disciple's responsibility. Heal the sick, raise the dead and cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out the demons. Freely you have received - freely give.

If we are going to be the disciples of Christ, sent out like sheep among wolves, then we need to realize also Matthew 10:26. Freely you have received, freely give!
