The Value of Spiritual Soldiers
Pastor Ed made some key points in this message of The Value of Spiritual Soldiers. Point 1: We must be dedicated. Point 2 We must be durable. Point 3: We must be deliberate. Point 4: We must be diligent. Being a good soldier requires effort. We must realize that we are not called to be part-time soldiers.
Our battles are not with people around us but much bigger and darker. Ephesians 6 puts it this way.
We do not wrestle with, “Flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places” (Ephesians 6:12).
That means we need to be proactive and not reactive in our battle against, sin, Satan, and godlessness. We need to be Spiritual Soldiers who have a vision and more specifically a Godly vision given by God. We need to be workers, fighters, and servants. So on this Memorial Day weekend, think about the spiritual men and women who have charted the course so that you may have a place to worship, freedom to celebrate God, and the opportunity to encourage others to do the same for generations.
