Shepherds Protect the Sheep

Pastor Ed looks at Matthew 9:27-38 and launches into the message. The protection of the sheep by the shepherd is the primary function. You can not abandon the post or the sheep will be scattered and then hunted by the beasts of the field. As we shepherd those around us, are we protecting them, caring for them and keeping them safe? Protection does not have to be harsh, lovingly guiding others to safety without them knowing the danger they are in is a form of protecting them.
