Being Unashamed

The baby wasn’t born in Bethlehem for nothing, there is a purpose to His life. He came with a destination, and that destination was Calvary. This season following the celebration of Christmas can draw us to the Savior that can give us the gifts of the Advent season.

There are events that lead to failure that in turn lead to shame. We live in a broken world, but the passage in 1 Peter brings a promise. In our daily lives we need to not only deal with the pain of our own shame, allowing God to work within us to be unashamed, and helping others in their walk, guiding them to the loving forgiveness of Jesus and the Father. Trusting in the Lord to be a healthy human being and knowing that He will provide all that we need. Giving patience to trust in God’s timing, and not allowing fear into our lives and the shame that comes from acting out of fear. The baby came to this world with nothing, lived as a man that trusted the Father, and lived as a model for the love of the Father. He is the model that leads us to being disciples as we have our own healing. The promise and the blessings of Advent love, joy, peace, and hope are offered by the Lord to anyone that will come to Him. And what most people need to come to Him is someone to love them. In the areas that we trust in God, we will be unashamed.
