Christmas Eve Canglelight Service: More Than A Child!

From the origin of humanity, we were created in the image of God.  Yet, through Adam, sin scarred humanity.  First with Adam, then affecting Eve. They are kicked out of the garden. Cain becomes jealous of the sacrifice of Able and sin roots itself in humanity more.

Sin ruled until the law was established. 

Christ was more than a baby! Christ was a substitute for our sins: Jesus sacrificed his power, privilege, and home in heaven to come as a substitute for sinful people. 

Jesus came as a sacrifice. In the Law, the yearly price for sin was the sacrifice of animals. 

Tonight, I would like for us to consider how much more Jesus is rather than simply a baby born in Bethlehem.
